Saturday, August 23 – Community Appreciation Free Day & Family BBQ
As a "thank you" for the amazing support this community has given us during our Capital Campaign, the Museum is hosting a Community Appreciation Free Day and BBQ. We will also share our plans for the new Explore Yellowstone Children’s Discovery Center. Don’t miss this chance to see our newest exhibits and enjoy the day with your family…on us!
8am-8pm – See all Museum exhibits free of charge, including planetarium and laser shows (visit museumoftherockies.org for current exhibit information). Please note that the Living History Farm is open its usual hours, 9am-5pm daily.
9:30am-1:30pm – Fun activities for the whole family, including inflatables (sponsored by Big Time Inflatables), wagon rides (tentative), crafts for the kids, and photo opps with our Explore Yellowstone bear.
9:30am-12:00pm – Climbing Wall
9:30-11:30am – Meet the players, get a signed poster, and play volleyball with our very own MSU Bobcats!
11:30am-1:30pm – Face Painting with Montana Outdoor Science School (MOSS).
11:30am-1:30pm – Enjoy a free BBQ with your family, including shaved ice sponsored by Cassandra’s Tropical Sno (while supplies last).
1:15, 2:30, 3:00, 4:00, 4:30pm – Free public tours of the Siebel Dinosaur Complex.
3:30pm – Free public tour of the Glow exhibit.
